Members of Pharma Industry Finland PIF

The Finnish pharmaceutical industry employs about 5,600 people in research and development, marketing authorisation administration, marketing and production jobs.
 
The majority of the aggregate personnel in our member companies are engaged in R&D, followed by those in marketing.
 
Today, the industrial manufacture of medicines mostly takes place outside Europe. The number of jobs in pharmaceutical production in Finland is therefore smaller than it used to be in past decades. Among our member companies, Orion, Bayer, Santen and Ayanda have Finland-based production.
